Danced Before?
- If you have danced before ‘Dance at 8’ has the Experience and the Knowledge to add that extra dimension to your dancing with Technique & Style. We are well known for our Quality Teaching. We’ll make you look good on the dance floor !
- Our classes normally run for 6 weeks in length. In that time we concentrate on one or two dance styles (As advertised). This allows you to really focus on that particular dance. Many studios that teach Ballroom & Latin group them all together and do ‘10 minutes of one style, 10 minutes of another......’ With our method of teaching you get a very solid routine with interesting and different Variations to add to your dancing repertoire.
- ‘Dance at 8’ is a Full Licentiate member of the IDTA. (The International Dance Teachers Association) so you are taught to a Very High standard yet our whole emphasis is making dancing FUN !
- Even if you have been dancing for years you never know what you may have forgotten (or indeed have never learned). Don't be put off by a Beginners class. We teach technique throughout all of our classes (Even beginners classes). Dancers of all levels are welcome to join in as a refresher (and Many do). It’s always good to go back to basics. Since we concentrate on one style in each set of classes our people progress very quickly. We are trained choreographers and add our own unique Steps & Style to your dancing repertoire.
- Our Intermediate or Improvers classes are called Variations Classes' (Usually denoted with a * on the web site and handouts). These classes are for those dancers (Singles & Couples) who want to really add some interesting steps and refine their dancing. Our Variations classes are £7 per person. We also hold special Workshops and Dance Clinics from time to time. Make sure you receive our Newsletter to hear about them as the book up Very Quickly! We are renown for our Quality Teaching.
- We also teach the more unique styles of dance that many people never get around to learning such as : Slow Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, American Smooth Ballroom Styles, Paso Doble, Argentine Tango ‘Vals’ to name a few. You can really add some freshness and a new dimension to your dancing.
- We rotate our wide variety of different dance styles to our venues in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire so that everyone has a chance to try all of the styles. Our dance class venues in: Worcester, Droitwich, Malvern, Pershore & Tewkesbury are not too far from each other and many people travel to the other venues for classes. If you see a class at a location near you that looks interesting, take it while you can, because we do so many different dance styles it may be a while before it returns.
- We hold large Social Dance events several times a year. Everyone welcome Singles & Couples regardless of where you currently dance. See our Special Events Page for our upcoming dance Events.
At ‘Dance at 8' we take an innovative and dynamic approach to dancing. We don’t stand still….. We constantly give you New styles, New steps, New music & Top Class, Quality Dance events to keep dancing Fun & Entertaining for all.
